FCC Leverages NTT Data for Cloud Computing Transition

MCLEAN, Va.—NTT Data announced that it was awarded a contract by the FCC to help upgrade the regulatory agency’s computer systems and help the FCC transition to cloud-based technologies.

In federal government contracting lingo, the agreement is a multiple award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Application Development Support Services (ADSS) contract.

Under the agreement, NTT Data will help improve the FCC’s IT infrastructure by prioritizing a cloud environment and building new IT systems and services on modernized platforms, the company said.

The FCC will also receive assistance in re-engineering processes to adopt and scale leading Agile delivery practices, emerging technologies, and continuous integration and delivery methods for applications, infrastructure, and software. next generation automation.

In addition, NTT Data will work with the FCC CIO to provide program and project management support as well as software and application development.

Earlier this year, the FCC announced that its Electronic Commentary Filing System (ECFS) had undergone a system upgrade to a cloud-based system that will introduce expanded features and functions to ECFS over the coming year.
